Fastest Cars under $100,000

According to an article on MSNBC.com, there are fast cars available to consumers now that do not have to cost $1.5 million to buy as the Bugatti Veyron does.  Speed used to only be available to a very small, elite group of people, but now you can get a fast car for cheap…..like $60,000!  To find the fastest cars of 2009, the group looked at the cars that went from 0 to 60 mph the fastest. Here are the results.

At the top of the list is the 2009 Nissan GT-R R35.  This car has 480-horsepower, with a top speed of 193 mph, and it reachesthe 60 mph mark in 3.3 seconds. That’s fast!  It will cost about $70,000, and according to the Forbesautos.com this car will not necessarily make a statement, or may not turn any heads.  I personally think that’s it’s a head turning car, but the experts don’t agree with me.

So, if you want a car that will turn people’s heads when you drive by them, you need to check out the Lotus Elise SC or the Lotus Exige S240.  The S240 costs about $65,000 and the Elise SC costs about $55,000. This is supposedly a bold statement maker kindof car.  You need to check out some pictures of this fast car.

A couple of other fast cars are the Corvette Z06, which hits 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, as well as the new Ford Mustangs.  The Dodge Viper is fast too, reaching 60 in 3.5 seconds.  For those of you looking for a fast car, you have several to choose from and you do not need to spend $1 million dollars to buy it.
