Secret behind the new BMW Z4
At the Detroit Auto Show in January, the director of BMW design group, Adrian van Hooydonk, had a big announcement to make that stunned many people. Reporters at the auto show had commented that the redesigned car looked “more sporty, more dynamic, more aggressive, and more masculine.” Well, the big news was that yes those things were true and that the designers were actually two women! How funny is that? I think it’s great. No one expected it and two young women, 32 and 37, were the big designers. To pick the designers of the new BMW Z4, the automakers held a competition. The creators that submitted sketches and clay models were anonymous so that personalities didn’t come into play with the judging. BMW liked the designs of these two and they won. Simple as that….well, and their designs for the new BMW Z4 were awesome. Juliane Blasi was the exterior designer and Nadya Arnaout designed the interior. Just thought I’d share this little tidbit of information about another new model coming out. The BMW Z4 will be a winner in my opinion. It looks very nice.
