As you get ready to go on vacation, wouldn’t it be fun to rent a nice, little sports car to cruise around the beach towns?? I think so.  Several car rentals have announced that they are adding to and expanding their fleet to high-performance and exotic cars.  Avis car rental company is adding Chevrolet Camaro convertibles to its Cool Car Collection.  There will be a 400-horsepower Camaro SS and a 312-horsepower Camaro LT available at select U.S. locations.  Hertz car rental company also just announced that they are expanding their Adrenaline Collection with a Lotus Evora sports car that can reach a top speed of 162 mph. This car will only be available in Europe for now. 

These special cars will of course be more expensive, but might be worth it if you are heading to the beach or Beverly Hills.  If you are under 25, you will probably have to pay extra as a “younger renter.” Also these vehicles may not get unlimited mileage, just read the fine print. Especially read the fine print about insurance coverage. If you get in an accident with these high-performance/exotic cars and you will be paying a ton if you don’t have the right insurance coverage.  I will say that I am interested in a convertible if I go back to Miami any time soon.
